Congress will be held on Friday, 18 October in the Dalwhinnie Village Hall, and via livestream on Saturday, 19 October 2024. In addition, all party members are welcome to join us for a meal at 5pm on Friday in advance of the Business Meeting.
Delegates to Congress will have the opportunity to hear panel discussions on a range of issues of vital importance for the future of Scotland; listen to speeches from some of Scotland’s foremost political thinkers; participate in question and answer sessions; elect a Deputy Leader, Chairperson and Open Seat member; debate and vote on policy motions; and, network with other party members.
In contrast to other parties, our elections for party officials and policy votes are conducted by open ballot to ensure maximum transparency. Congress is not a stage-managed PR exercise, but an opportunity for all of us as members to debate critical issues honestly and openly.
This year, there will be panel discussions, on issues such as the challenges facing Scottish society; and on Independence Strategy. In addition, there will be speeches on topics such as Scottish independence and the European Union, as well as reporting from the party’s officebearers.
The Friday evening Business Meeting will run from 19:00 until 21:00; while Saturday’s programme will run from 10:30 to 14:30.

Friday’s Business Meeting is open to all members in good standing, and is free to attend.
Saturday’s livestream will also be free, and is open to all.
