We are delighted to be able to announce the first five Sovereignty candidates for the 2026 National Elections, who are as follows:
- Angus South (North East Scotland) – Moira Brown
- Banffshire and Buchan Coast (North East Scotland) – David McHutchon
- Cumbernauld and Kilsyth (Central Scotland) – Alan McManus
- Inverness and Nairn (Highlands and Islands) – Andrew MacDonald
- Na h-Eileanan an Iar (Highlands and Islands) – Kelly Wilson
Sovereignty stands for full independence for Scotland from the United Kingdom and European Union. We are seeking a mandate for independence.
All Sovereignty candidates are seasoned campaigners who either live in their constituencies, or have strong ties to them. In the context of our partnership with Liberate Scotland, we will be making the case across the north of Scotland for action on independence.
The SNP are offering five more years of bumbling and fudges. They have neither strategy, nor plan to achieve independence. They have gone to Holyrood to settle down, not settle up.
By contrast, Sovereignty candidates will be seeking a mandate to represent Scotland in declaring independence. If necessary, unilaterally.
If you would like to be involved in this campaign, or to stand in the Highlands and Islands, or North East Scotland, please be in touch via email at info (at) sovereignty.scot, or call or text us on 07956-315207.
